Equipment Structure
Variable Frequency Forced Feeding System
This cattle feed pellet machine adopts a variable-frequency speed-regulated screw feeder and features an expanded, widened feeding inlet to effectively eliminate bridging and clogging during feeding. It delivers targeted optimization for dry grass, straw and other fluffy raw materials. The machine adjusts screw blade pitch based on material moisture and coarseness to autonomously regulate feeding speed, sustain consistent, stable material delivery, and avoid pellet forming fluctuations caused by uneven feed volume. This ensures a continuous and stable pelletizing process, especially suitable for difficult-to-press materials such as grass powder and straw with high fiber content and large fluctuations in moisture content.
Steam Conditioning System
Cattle pellet machines can be optionally equipped with a single or double-layer conditioner, with a stainless steel inner lining for the shell and wear-resistant stirring paddles inside. The high-temperature steam introduced can fully gelatinize and soften the raw materials, effectively kill harmful bacteria, and soften fibers, improving the palatability and digestibility of the feed. The conditioning time can be adjusted within the range of 30 to 120 seconds to adapt to different cattle feed formulas.
Pelletizing Chamber(Core Working Area)
The high-quality alloy steel forged ring die ensures excellent wear resistance, with a service life of ≥20 years. Users can customize die hole diameters from 2mm to 12mm. Symmetrically arranged double pressure rollers undergo quenching treatment for superior wear resistance, and feature an adjustable gap of 0.1mm to 0.3mm to deliver consistent material extrusion. The machine adopts high-precision hard-toothed gears, which boost transmission efficiency by 15-20% compared with belt-driven systems. These gears offer robust load capacity and effectively reduce material clogging risks.
Transmission and Support System
Pellet machines for cattle feed adopt a high-precision hard-toothed gear reducer, with a bearing support design at the rear end of the main shaft, ensuring stable operation without vibration. The machine body is made of wear-resistant material similar to that of internal combustion engine cylinder liners, maintaining stable precision even after long-term use.
Cooling and Screening System

The PLC fully automatic control system enables one-button start and stop of the equipment, fault alarm, and parameter memory. Supporting Production Line
Raw Material Pre-treatment
The roller cleaning screen and permanent magnetic separator at the front end of the cattle pellet machine can remove impurities such as stones, iron wires, and soil lumps, protecting the rear-end pelletizer from damage by hard objects. When processing large-sized straw and forage, a dedicated straw chopper is equipped to ensure that the raw materials are crushed to a suitable fineness for pelletizing.
Mixing and Blending
The fully automatic batching scale and double-shaft high-efficiency mixer of cattle pellet machine can precisely proportion multiple raw materials according to the formula, with high mixing uniformity, ensuring consistent nutrition and stable quality for each batch of feed.
Pelletizing and Forming
Saturated steam at 160–180℃ is introduced into the pelletizing chamber to raise the material temperature to 75–90℃, causing starch gelatinization, fiber softening, and the elimination of Salmonella/mold. The conditioning time is adjustable within 30–120 seconds. An optional molasses/oil spraying system can be selected to enhance energy content, palatability, reduce dust, and increase pellet strength.
Cooling and Screening
The counter-flow cooler rapidly cools and dries the high-temperature pellets to prevent mold growth. The vibrating classifier screen separates the fine powder and small particles, retaining the qualified products. The broken materials can be recycled for re-pelletizing.
Finished Product Packaging
The fully automatic quantitative packaging scale can automatically sew, convey, and bag the products according to the set weight, standardize them, and then store them in the warehouse for sale.
