Featuring the SPHS series as its flagship model, the dog treat extruder offers a single-unit production capacity ranging from 0.5 to 12 tons per hour. This series can produce various forms of products such as dry dog food, semi-moist food, and pet treats. It is compatible with diverse raw materials, including fresh meat (with an addition ratio exceeding 120%), grains, meat meal, oils, and minerals. The extruder produces pellets in sizes ranging from φ 0.6 to 20 mm, available in round, bone-shaped, and other custom shapes, making it highly versatile across multiple applications.

The dog food extruder machine consists of six core components, featuring a simple structure and user-friendly operation, with reliable-quality key parts that ensure both practicality and ease of maintenance.

A sealed 304 stainless steel hopper equipped with an anti-bridging device allows synchronized speed adjustment with the main unit, enabling uniform and precise feeding during operation. It is easy to clean and meets hygiene standards.

Optional custom single- or multi-layer conditioners are available. Pre-conditioning with high-temperature steam improves material maturation, reduces main machine load, and enhances final product texture.

SZLH Series Feed Pellet Mill

Utilizes wear-resistant alloy steel screws and barrels with full intermeshing design for even shearing. Combined with quick-change dies, our dog treat extruder enables flexible switching between different pellet shapes.

Productive Process of Extruded Pellet

Flexible and Adjustable

High-Quality Output

High Production Efficiency

Stable and Durable

The main motor features frequency conversion control, allowing adjustable screw speed to accommodate different formulations (sinking, semi-floating, and floating materials). The product series offers complete specifications and can be customized according to customer capacity, product types, and site dimensions, supporting both trial production and large-scale manufacturing. The cutting section uses a movable knife holder with spring steel blades that fit well with the mold. The tooling is driven by a frequency-controlled motor, enabling precise control over product length.

The fully intermeshed, zero-backlash twin-screw design effectively controls shear force and ensures consistent curing time and particle expansion coefficient across all materials in the extrusion chamber. A turbulent discharge device expels material smoothly, resulting in more aesthetically pleasing extruded pellets. After thorough conditioning via twin-screw extrusion and steam treatment, the material achieves high starch gelatinization, making it highly digestible for pets. The product exhibits uniform expansion, fluffy texture, excellent oil absorption, long shelf life, and appearance quality meeting mainstream pet food market standards.

The frequency-controlled energy-saving design reduces energy consumption by 15%–30% compared to traditional equipment. Changeover and setup time is≤30 minutes, significantly improving production turnover efficiency. Under guaranteed high quality, the system optimally distributes shear forces across different zones of the extrusion chamber, effectively increasing output.

All material-contact components are made of 304 food-grade stainless steel. Key wear-prone parts undergo wear-resistant treatment, extending service life to 2–3 times that of standard equipment and reducing maintenance costs. Newly adopted fully wear-resistant alloy (38CrMoAl) screws and bimetallic inner sleeves in the expansion chamber effectively minimize wear, ensuring long-term stable operation under high-capacity and high-quality conditions. Bearings inside the gearbox use FAG or SKF brands to guarantee reliable, long-lasting performance.

RICHI has accumulated numerous successful project cases through our dedicated full-service support.
