Laos
Laos Small-Scale Rice Husk Pellet Project
- Model: MZLH350, capacity 0.3–0.5 t/h, pellet diameter 6mm. The pellets are mainly used as boiler fuel for local rice mills.
- It can produce 2.5–4 tons of finished pellets per 8-hour shift, and surplus products are exported to Thailand and Vietnam. Only a workshop of around 300 square meters is required for equipment layout.

- Output reaches 1.5–2 t/h.
- Equipped with supporting drying equipment to cope with fluctuated moisture content of local rice husks.
- The finished 6–8mm fuel pellets are supplied to domestic industrial boilers and for foreign trade export.

Brazil 1.5–2 t/h Rice Husk Pellet Plant
- Produced pellets are directly applied as fuel for grain drying equipment to replace diesel and natural gas and cut production costs. Excess pellets are sold to bakeries, greenhouse heating projects and small-scale biomass power stations, with partial exports to neighboring Uruguay and Paraguay.

Do I need to add chemical binders? Will finished pellets break easily?
No chemical adhesives are required at all. Under high-pressure extrusion, friction heat activates natural lignin inside rice husks for bonding. After full hardening in the counter-flow cooler, pellets achieve qualified PDI durability index, resistant to breakage during stacking and long-distance transportation, meeting standards for boiler combustion and export trade.
What is the optimal moisture content of raw rice husks? What are the negative effects of too high or too low moisture?
The ideal moisture range is 12%–20%.
- Over-dried material causes sharp current surge, severe die abrasion and higher power consumption. We can match rotary drum dryers to automatically adjust moisture for stable production even with fluctuating raw material humidity.
- Excess moisture leads to loose pellets, low strength and mildew risk;
How often do I replace ring dies and rollers? Can spare parts be delivered overseas?
Under continuous pure rice husk production, wear-resistant ring dies last 800–1200 working hours. RICHI has a global spare parts warehouse system.
