Equipment Structure
Forced Feeding & Anti-Bridging Hopper
Equipped with screw forced conveying structure customized for lightweight, fluffy rice husks. It effectively prevents material bridging, hanging and blockage inside the bin, ensuring uniform and uninterrupted feeding for steady continuous production.
42CrMo Wear-Resistant Alloy Ring Die & Roller
Core pressing components use thickened 42CrMo alloy steel to withstand severe abrasion from high silica content in rice husks. Ring dies with apertures ranging from 4mm to 12mm are interchangeable to produce pellets of different sizes, significantly extending the service life of wearing parts.
Heavy-Duty Main Motor
The branded Siemens motor delivers stable and adequate power under long-term full-load operation. It features low energy consumption, low noise and strong overload capacity to support round-the-clock continuous running.
SKF Heavy-Load Bearing
High-precision SKF heavy-duty bearings are adopted for the main transmission unit. They greatly cut down friction loss, reduce breakdown frequency and enhance the overall reliability during large-scale production.
Adjustable Pellet Cutting Mechanism
The external cutter can be freely positioned to control pellet length between 10mm and 30mm, producing neatly sized and uniform finished rice husk pellets.

Laos
Laos Small-Scale Rice Husk Pellet Project
- Model: MZLH350, capacity 0.3–0.5 t/h, pellet diameter 6mm. The pellets are mainly used as boiler fuel for local rice mills.
- It can produce 2.5–4 tons of finished pellets per 8-hour shift, and surplus products are exported to Thailand and Vietnam. Only a workshop of around 300 square meters is required for equipment layout.

Vietnam MZLH520 Rice Husk Pellet Production Line
- Output reaches 1.5–2 t/h.
- Equipped with supporting drying equipment to cope with fluctuated moisture content of local rice husks.
- The finished 6–8mm fuel pellets are supplied to domestic industrial boilers and for foreign trade export.

Brazil 1.5–2 t/h Rice Husk Pellet Plant
- Produced pellets are directly applied as fuel for grain drying equipment to replace diesel and natural gas and cut production costs. Excess pellets are sold to bakeries, greenhouse heating projects and small-scale biomass power stations, with partial exports to neighboring Uruguay and Paraguay.
Supporting Production Line
Raw Material Feeding and Destoning
Rice husks are conveyed by belt conveyor into the destoner to eliminate mixed stones, gravel and hard debris. This critical pretreatment effectively avoids severe abrasion to alloy ring dies and rollers caused by silica-containing impurities, greatly extending the service life of key wearing parts.
Drying and Moisture Conditioning
Raw materials go through a rotary drum dryer to stabilize the moisture content within the optimal pelleting range of 12%–20%. Proper moisture ensures high molding rate, compact density and stable quality of final pellets.
High-pressure Pellet Extrusion
Treated rice husks are fed into the MZLH rice husk-specialized ring die pellet mill. Equipped with anti-bridging forced feeding device, the machine prevents blockage of fluffy light husks and extrudes solid 6mm or 8mm cylindrical pellets through physical high-pressure squeezing, with no chemical binders required.
Counter-flow Cooling & Solidification
Hot freshly extruded pellets enter the counter-flow cooler for full cooling and hardening. This procedure increases pellet durability index (PDI) and minimizes breakage during subsequent storage and long-distance transportation.
Vibrating Screening
A vibrating screener separates fine powder and broken fragments from intact pellets, only retaining uniform, high-quality finished products.
Automatic Weighing & Packing
Qualified pellets are temporarily stored in the finished product bin, then automatically weighed and sealed into standard bags by the packaging machine for warehouse stocking or commercial export.

Do I need to add chemical binders? Will finished pellets break easily?
No chemical adhesives are required at all. Under high-pressure extrusion, friction heat activates natural lignin inside rice husks for bonding. After full hardening in the counter-flow cooler, pellets achieve qualified PDI durability index, resistant to breakage during stacking and long-distance transportation, meeting standards for boiler combustion and export trade.
What is the optimal moisture content of raw rice husks? What are the negative effects of too high or too low moisture?
The ideal moisture range is 12%–20%.
- Over-dried material causes sharp current surge, severe die abrasion and higher power consumption. We can match rotary drum dryers to automatically adjust moisture for stable production even with fluctuating raw material humidity.
- Excess moisture leads to loose pellets, low strength and mildew risk;
